The hygienist works to your dentist's prescription.
Our hygienist will give you all the help you need to maintain your oral hygiene. She will offer advice on your diet, effective tooth brushing and cleaning between your teeth, and if needed she can offer smoking cessation advice.
There is increasing evidence linking gum disease with other illnesses such as heart disease, strokes and even premature birth.
Gum disease is one of the main reasons for the early loss of teeth which is why we encourage regular visits with our hygienist.
We can also offer one-to-one coaching and oral health education visits for children and adults – this is especially valuable for those starting orthodontic treatment or patients who have had expensive dental restorations.
